PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To sufficiently improve the startability of an internal combustion engine without deteriorating the emission characteristics of the internal combustion engine in an evaporated fuel processing device for feeding an evaporated fuel to each of cylinders at engine start. SOLUTION: A canister for accumulating the evaporated fuel is allowed to communicate with the intake port of each of the cylinders, and a purge control valve is installed for each cylinder. Further a crank angle sensor is installed on the device to generate a cylinder discrimination signal when a #4 cylinder reaches its top dead center in intake stroke and a #1 cylinder reaches its top dead center in intake stroke. A discriminated cylinder group purge is achieved by simultaneously opening the purge control valves of the #1 and #4 cylinders. The discriminated cylinder group purge is started after a prescribed delay time is passed after the start of the internal combustion engine. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
