PURPOSE:To accurately measure the radiation pattern of a multielement linear antenna, by picking up a part of a current flowing to a dipole radiation element, without giving effect on the radiation characteristics of the antenna and the characteristic impedance of the feeder. CONSTITUTION:Current pickup conductors 9 and 10 are arranged at a position which is at an equal distance and symmetrical to feeders 7 and 8 and other ends of the conductors 9 and 10 are terminated at a terminator 11, allowing to avoid the characteristic impedance of the feeder 7 and 8 from being disturbed with the current flowing to the current pickup conductors 9 and 10. Since the conductor 9 is located near a dipole radiation element 1 and the conductor 10 is placed near a dipole radiation element 2, a reverse voltage is induced in the conductors 9 and 10. similarly, since a voltage is induced with dipole radiation elements 3, 4 and 5, 6, the radiation pattern of the antenna can accurately be measured, by connecting an external measuring circuit ( not shown) between the terminals of the conductors 9 and 10. |
