PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a product defective factor by correcting only points where crosstalk is likely to occur. SOLUTION: The crosstalk check method extracts a parallel wire length of adjacent wires for every hierarchy with a layout and a reference value 1601 for describing a limiting value of the parallel wire length as inputs for a layout 1600 hierarchy designed in a parallel wire length extracting procedure. In a boundary information extracting procedure, the method examines a relation of connection of wires across hierarchies from a netlist in each hierarchy. In a hierarchy build-up procedure, the method calculates the parallel wire length across hierarchies by adding parallel wire lengths extracted for every hierarchy with respect to an identical net of the adjacent wires across hierarchies. In a parallel wire length checking procedure, the method decides a crosstalk generation point by comparing the parallel wire length across hierarchies with a predetermined reference value.
