PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a strain gauge mounting method capable of avoiding the occurrence of failures such as the peeling of a stress gauge and the breakage of wires and improving reliability in stress measurement even at high rotations and at high temperatures and facilitating a pasting operation at a low price and provide a stress measuring apparatus of a compact structure capable of safe and accurate transmission without causing damage in a transmission member. SOLUTION: In the stress measuring apparatus for detecting stress acting on a structure by the stress gauge, the stress gauge is fixed to a metal foil containing a stainless foil by spot-welding, and an output end of the stress gauge is connected to an end part of a sheathed wire for output of the stress gauge by brazing including silver brazing. The connection part is fixed to the metal foil by an adhesive, and the metal foil containing the stainless foil is made to cover the adhesive.
