An impregnation fluid for impregnating a capturing member which directly captures ink droplets discharged to the region except a recording medium of the ink droplets discharged from a printer head for ink-jet recording, which comprises at least one resin selected from the group consisting of a resin slightly soluble in water and a resin soluble in water; a capturing member for an ink-jet printer comprising the above impregnation fluid; and an ink-jet printer having the above capturing member.
