PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processor which can perform appropriate print control when an image output unit employing a band mode is applied to such a system as the number of copies determination timing can be determined just before designation of first page paper discharge. SOLUTION: The image processor comprises a band data creation means for creating print data by dividing a page into bands and outputting print data sorted in the order of band, a print data creation means having a means for designating print of a plurality of copies by adding specification of the number of copies to print data, a first writing means for creating a display list (DL) in units of band by analyzing print data, a second writing means for creating the DL in units of page by analyzing print data, and a means for judging whether printing in units of copy by electronic sort can be carried out or not, wherein the writing means of first page is selected based on judgment results from the means for judging print in units of copy.
