The drive mechanism has a toothed rim (12) driven by a drive train (16) mounted inside the housing (14) of the device. The drive train has external toothing (18) and can be driven by an electric motor such as a torque motor (24) without the interposition of gearing. The electric motor is designed as an internal rotor with inner rotor (28) enclosed by a stator (26) connected to the output shaft (34) of the drive train through shaft coupling.
