PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low-cost portable telephone set comprising a warning device for notifying the vicinity of existence of its owner. SOLUTION: A portable telephone set 10 comprises a telephone set body 11 and a whistle 12. The telephone set body 11 includes an upper casing 13, a lower casing 14, and various functional components housed inside these casings. The upper casing 13 and the lower casing 14 are molded from synthetic resins. The telephone set body 11 independently functions as a wireless telephone device.
