In a sealable container (1), a first test tube (2) having a sugar chain-containing sample, which has been solidified by drying, and a labeling solution (1a) comprising 2-aminopyridine/acetic cid are enclosed separately from each other. The labeling solution (1a) is heated and 2-aminopyridine thus vaporized is brought into contact with the sugar chain to thereby obtain a pyridylaminated sugar chain from the sugar chain as described above. Thus, it becomes possible to provide an apparatus for fluorescent-labeling saccharides whereby the reaction procedure of converting a saccharide into a pyridylaminated sugar chain can be simplified and ensured and a method of fluorescent-labeling saccharides.
