PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electroluminescent element having high resolution and excellent visibility or high transparency and crispness by eliminating pixel blur in the electroluminescent element provided with a leaking light diffusing layer. SOLUTION: In this electroluminescent element, an electroluminescence layer, a transparent electrode layer, and a transparent substrate are arranged in this order, and a light diffusion layer of a specific condition is provided between the transparent electrode layer and the transparent substrate. As an outermost layer, the electroluminescent element has a pixel blur prevention layer containing one or two or more kinds selected from a group comprising an antireflection film, a polarization film, a phase difference film, and a dye filter.
