PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plasma display panel in which power consumption is reduced by reducing the area of electrodes and contrast is improved by preventing reflection of the external light at the front substrate. SOLUTION: The plasma display panel comprises a first substrate 10 and a second substrate 20 arranged with a prescribed interval so as to be opposed to each other, an address electrode 12 formed along a first direction on the first substrate 10, a barrier rib 16 which is arranged in a space between the first substrate 10 and the second substrate 20 and demarcates a discharge cell 18, a phosphor layer 19 formed in each of the discharge cells 18, and a first electrode 31 and a second electrode 32 which are formed along a second direction crossing the first direction on the second substrate 20 and are formed mutually alternately in the first direction. A bus electrode 31b which is formed along the second direction in the first electrode 31 and the second electrode 32 comprises at least two bus electrode parts 31b<SB>1</SB>, 31b<SB>2</SB>which are mutually connected in the discharge cell 18 and are arranged with a prescribed interval.
