PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure and method that detect the leakage of an odor from a deodorizing device in advance and issues an alarm upon detecting the leakage. SOLUTION: At a first using stage of the deodorizing apparatus (3), an alarm target time T4 is set to be a little earlier than an odor leakage time T3 when starting of the leakage of the odor is judged. From the next using stage of the deodorizing apparatus (3), when a value of an odor operation time T approaches or reaches an alarm target time T4, the deodorizing apparatus and a method of alarming odor automatically issue the alarm.
