<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an urban garbage separating and composting system by which garbage is efficiently separated while suppressing the occurrence of malodor and the garbage is effectively composted to be effectively utilized as a recycled resource material. <P>SOLUTION: The garbage separating and composting system 1 is provided with a garbage separation apparatus 10 for separating the garbage charged with a collecting bag in which the garbage is packed from the collecting bag and a compost forming apparatus 30 for fermenting the garbage obtained by the garbage separation apparatus 10 to form compost. The garbage separation apparatus 10 is provided with a hopper 11 having a bag breaking mechanism for breaking the charged collecting bag, a separation duct 12 having a rotary drum for carrying the garbage or the like supplied from a discharge port of the hopper 11 while stirring and drying, a superheated steam-producing apparatus 13 for producing superheated steam and jetting to the garbage or the like and a rotary beating apparatus 14 having a rotary chain for beating the garbage or the like discharged from the separation duct 12. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
