A transflective FPD device is provided. The transflective FPD device includes a liquid crystal layer and a transflective layer. The tansflective layer includes a matrix made of a transparent material and a plurality of reflective nano-particles. The reflective nano-particles are configured for reflecting ambient light and are dispersed uniformly and randomly in the entire matrix. The transflective layer is adapted for reflecting ambient lights, and as well as for allowing backlight to pass therethrough.
