PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a message device capable of conducting a message even when the selecting-signal classification and message-destination off-hook of a telephone line are decided by mistake. SOLUTION: A line-classification decision section 7 sends the selecting-signal classification by a push-button signal from a dialing section 4, and sends residual selecting signals by the push-button signal when a dial tone is not detected for a fixed time by an audible-sound detector 5 after the selecting signal is sent by one column. The line-classification decision section 7 further changes over a selecting-signal classification into a dial pulse signal and sends the selecting signal from the beginning when the dial tone is detected.
