A machine for moulding pipe sections from a flowable moldable material (e.g. a fibrous cement) comprises a mould 8 with perforations through which the excess water is removed, a Airality of core sections 10 each being a rigid partly cylindrical member covered by an inflatable rubber sheath 11 and having an end shaped to give fluid-tight engagement with the other core members, a means 14 for injecting the material into the mould and means 13 for inflating the rubber sheaths. The movement of the core section into the mould is controlled by pistons 4 in cylinders 3. The cylinders 3 are supported on arms 2 which are adjustable around a table 1 so that the core sections may be orientated in any direction. This enables various shaped moulds to be used (Figs. 4 ... 6, not shown).
