PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a hard coat film having a hard coat layer on a base material film by which the curling of the coat hard film can be minimized even when the hard coat layer is thickened.

SOLUTION: The method for producing the hard coat film having the hard coat layer on the base material film at the least comprises the steps of: applying a coating liquid containing a curable resin to the base material film to form a coating film; keeping the coating film-formed base material film in a curved state; and curing the curable resin while keeping the base material film in the curved state to form the hard coat layer.
