<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sliding door having a full open lock mechanism causing no interference with a pawl when the sliding door enters an inclined section of a guide rail and moves. <P>SOLUTION: The guide rail 11 has a parallel section 11a and the inclined section 11b for moving the sliding door 20 into the totally closed position inside a vehicle. The sliding door 20 is provided with a roller arm 27 having a roller 27a engaged with the guide rail 11. The full open lock mechanism 30 is provided with a pawl 32 turnable between a grip position to be engaged with a full open striker 12 to hold the sliding door 20 in a fully open position, and a release position to release the full open striker 12. The sliding door 20 is provided with a stopper lever 33 for turning the pawl 32 of the full open lock mechanism 30 in a direction to separate from the guide rail 11 further from the release position by the swing motion of the roller arm 27 when the sliding door moves from the parallel section 11a to the inclined section 11b of the guide rail 11. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
