MIXED FEED FOR IMPROVING EGG SHELL QUALITY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide mixed feed suppressing deterioration of the quality of fowl egg shells, and reducing shell-mottled eggs.

SOLUTION: The mixed feed is obtained by regulating the content ratio by weight of calcium to magnesium contained in the feed into 7-12 to 1. The feed is fed to laying hens so as to remarkably improve egg shell strength. Magnesium oxide is used as a magnesium source substance, and organic acid having chelate function is made to exist so as to further improve the egg shell strength. Culture of Bacillus subtilis is added to exist so as to improve the egg shell strength and remarkably suppress generation of shell mottling often caused on the surface of the egg shell when ordinary feed is supplied.
