PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that even when data transferring for driving a recording head is performed by a serial data transfer, the number of signal lines is increased, and the increase in the number of data signal lines caused by increase in the number of heads directly influences to make downsizing and cost reduction difficult. SOLUTION: From a printing head data transferring apparatus 300, a transfer clock S10 and serial transfer data are transferred through an FPC cable 12 to driver IC 311-318 corresponding to respective printing heads 301-308 mounted on a recording head 11. On the driver IC 311-318 side, the serial transfer clock S10 is used as a reset signal, and the serial transfer data S21 is used as a serial data latch signal reversed trigger, a serial data latch signal forming circuit 320 internally forming a serial data latch signal S40 is provided.
