PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a self-supporting bag for hermetically packaging flowable contents such as a liquid, which includes a spout excellent in shape retention ability on an upper part of the bag, has a large capacity and in addition is easy to carry, and with which the contents can be safely and easily transferred even when the contents has low viscosity. SOLUTION: A base of a bag is formed in a format having gussets 4 using a base film. A barrel is formed by heat-sealing both side end rims of front and rear wall face films 1 and 1' by side seals 6 and 6. The spout 20 comprising a plastic molding is joined with one of upper corners so that it is directed to be outwardly horizontal or slantly outwardly upward with an angle of a center line of the spout 20 with respect to a horizontal line of 0 deg. or more and less than 45 deg. when the bag is placed to stand. In addition, an expanded seal 7 is provided above the side seal 6 on the other side, and a hole 8 for holding the bag is provided on the expanded seal 7, thereby constituting the self-supporting bag.
