<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lipid substitution method simply changing the lipid composition of an artificial lipid double film, and also to provide a manufacturing apparatus of the artificial lipid double film utilizing the lipid substitution method. <P>SOLUTION: This manufacturing apparatus 1 of the artificial lipid double film is equipped with an upper solution tank (first solution tank) 11 filled with an aqueous solution 13 and a lower solution tank (second solution tank) 12 and a partition 15 for partitioning the upper and lower solution tanks 11 and 12 is provided between two solution tanks. An opening part 16 is provided to the partition 15 and a first lipid solution is applied to the periphery of the opening part 16 to form the artificial lipid double film to the opening part 16. Further, in the manufacturing apparatus 1, a fine pipe 17 for substituting lipid is attached to the partition 15 of a part where the bulk phase of the artificial lipid double film is formed.
