PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a wiring/piping protection member applicable to a plurality of kinds of wiring/piping members, and to make small the inside diameter of a passing hole into which the wiring/piping protection member is inserted and fitted. SOLUTION: The circumferential wall body 1 of the protection member A<SB>1</SB>is divided into four circumferential wall blocks 2a, 2b, 2c and 2d, by providing first and second hinges H<SB>1</SB>, H<SB>2</SB>at positions that divide the circumferential wall body 1 almost equally in the circumferential direction on the circumferential wall body 1, in which a split V is formed along its axial direction and which corresponds to the outside diameter of a pipe P<SB>1</SB>in a reduced-diameter state. The inside diameter d<SB>1</SB>of a passing hole B<SB>1</SB>formed in a wall building member S is made smaller by reducing the diameter at the fulcrum of a first hinge H<SB>1</SB>provided at a position facing the split V when protecting the pipe P<SB>1</SB>, by reducing the diameter of each circumferential wall blocks 2a, 2b, 2c and 2d at the fulcrums of the first and second hinges H<SB>1</SB>, H<SB>2</SB>, and by making the outside circumferential shape of the circumferential wall body 1 nearly circular after reducing the diameter, when protecting a pipe P<SB>2</SB>, which is smaller than the pipe P<SB>1</SB>in diameter.
