PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform the processing of searching the optimal values of two drive parameters not adjusted independently in a short time. SOLUTION: The variable area of a drive parameter is divided into four area by two diagonal lines A and B, and a search area containing an optimal value among the value of the error rates of four corners is set as one of the four areas divided by the diagonal line. Then, for example, when the search area is a 1/4 area of the left, parameters P1 and P2 are moved from (0, 0) to (7, 7) along the diagonal line A to evaluate the values of the error rates, and a point (m, m) where an error rate is minimum is searched. Then, the parameters P1 and P2 are moved from (m, m) along the diagonal line B to evaluate the values of error rates, and the combination (P01, P02) of parameters where an error rate takes a minimum value is determined as an optimal parameter.
