PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermoelectric generator in which the generation efficiency can be improved. SOLUTION: The thermoelectric generator 1 is provided with a plurality of heat exchangers 5 having a heat exchange fin 8 to recover the heat of exhaust gas passing through an exhaust passage 2, and a plurality of thermoelectric converter modules 6 to convert the heat recovered in the heat exchange fin 8 into electricity. An introducing pipe member 17 to form a passage 16 to introduce exhaust gas is arranged in the exhaust passage 2. The introducing pipe member 17 comprises an outside pipe 18 and an inside pipe 19 arranged inside the outside pipe 18. A spring 20 to change the relative position of the inside pipe 19 to the outside pipe 18 corresponding to an engine load is installed between the inside of an end 18a of the outside pipe 18 and the outside of an end 19a of the inside pipe 19. Gas supply windows 21A to 21C and a gas bypass window 22 are formed in the outside pipe 18, and gas supply windows 23A to 23C and a gas bypass window 24 are formed in the inside pipe 19.
