PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toxicity examination method for examining the toxicity of tetrodotoxin that is always higher than the average of the whole of a liver mixture in safety, by separating a mixture, which is obtained by stirring and mixing of the livers sampled from a plurality of puffer fishes for extracting the same, into an oil layer and a water layer and examining the toxicity of tetrodotoxin, with respect to the separated water layer, and a puffer fish liver processed product that uses it.
SOLUTION: The livers, sampled from a plurality of puffer fishes, are stirred and mixed to be uniformized, after the fibrous components of the livers are shredded, and a part is extracted from the stirred mixture; while the extracted liver mixture of the puffer fish is separated into the oil layer, and the water layer at a temperature of 20-60°C and a specimen is partially extracted from the separated water layer to examine the toxicity of tetrodotoxin in the specimen of the extracted water layer. Moreover, after the specimen for use in the examination of toxicity has been partially extracted, an emulsifier for preventing separation is added to the liver mixture of the puffer fish, after separation to again stir, mix and uniformize the emulsified liver mixture and the puffer fish liver processed product is obtained.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
