The method involves evaluating information that is detected by a Lidar-sensor (1) by an evaluating unit. The evaluation unit is designed to recognize a road-exit (7) on the basis of the information that is detected during detection of an environment /through the road-exit. The detected information is applied to a driver assistance system by a track recognizing system, and a signpost is arranged on the road-exit. An independent claim is also included for a device for executing a method for detecting a road-exit.
