WHITE COLOR LIGHT EMITTING DIODE AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING SAME

摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a white color light emitting diode which is highly reliable and has a long service life by using a blue color LED element, especially a high-output blue color LED, and to provide a method for manufacturing the same.

SOLUTION: A phosphor layer 36 for converting a blue color light to a yellow color light is formed on a blue color light emitting diode 34 by plasma spraying. Such the manufacturing method is used to manufacture long-servicing white color light emitting diodes.
