<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a TIG welding machine or a cutting machine with which the stabilization of a discharge initialization voltage by a discharge device is achieved. <P>SOLUTION: In a base 5 of an approximately concave shape consisting of two strut sections 2, 3 supporting a pair of opposing electrodes 64, 65 which are components of the discharge device 1, and a bottom 4, the axial sections of the electrodes 64, 65 of the two strut sections 2, 3 are made into an approximately cruciform shape. The cambers of the strut sections 2, 3 due to resin shrinkage as a result of forming the approximately cruciform shape are offset to make the strut sections 2, 3 upright and to parallel discharge surfaces 75, 76 of the electrodes 64, 65. Since a gap is constant even if electricity is discharged in any place between the discharge surfaces 75 and 76, substantial effects of the stabilization of discharge start voltage, the prevention of deterioration in the insulation of equipment and the stabilization of arc start property can be obtained. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
