PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To print a profile after preparing it on the basis of the colorimetry result obtained by automatically measuring a color. SOLUTION: When the profile is prepared which makes image data and a colorimetry value of an output based on the image data correspond to each other, a colorimetry value is acquired by measuring the color of the output result based on the image data at first observation conditions, the colorimetry value obtained by measuring the color in a colorimetry value acquiring process is converted to a colorimetry value when the color of the output result is measured at second observation conditions, and then, the profile is prepared by making the converted colorimetry value and the image data correspond to each other.
