<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable easily performing image setting according to the intention of a user in accordance with a recording mode and a photographing mode. <P>SOLUTION: A DVC 100 complies with both standards of DV and HDV, and has a function of switching these recording modes and a function of storing an image setting parameter capable of being arbitrarily set for each of the recording modes into an internal memory 111.
