PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate a defect due to unevenness of a gap between two substrates of a liquid crystal panel. SOLUTION: In a method and device for sealing the liquid crystal panel having substrates at least one of which is a transparent substrate, a liquid crystal is injected between the two substrates and then pressure is applied from both sides of the two substrates, elimination of the interference fringes generated in the liquid crystal panel is confirmed from the transparent substrate side, the pressure is adjusted so as to close a liquid crystal injection port.
