PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect the liquid level of high temperature liquid such as high temperature water level in the boiler for power generator in an opaque vessel with an inexpensive general used liquid detector surely and always. SOLUTION: In the high temperature liquid W existing in the nonmagnetic stand column 3 vertically provided by connecting with connection pipes 2 to the opaque vessel 1 to be detected with the liquid level, a float F provided with a heat resistive magnet is floated, while in the nonmagnetic case 4 provided vertically parallel to the stand column 3, a lot of liquid surface detectors 5 which operates receiving the magnetic force from the magnet M in the float are arranged vertically with every prescribed interval, and also at the top and bottom of the non magnetic case 4, each ventilation hole 4A is provided. By the rising air through the ventilation holes 4A generated in the case 4 caused by the temperature difference between the in/out side temperature difference, the lot of liquid surface detectors 5 are naturally cooled.
