The QAM receiver (7) has an integral measurement circuit (43,41,53) for measuring the power density of a received signal, whereby the receiver can be changed between a reception operating mode and a measurement operating mode by a control circuit. The device has a carrier frequency loop (35,38,48,22,25,28,30) for detecting the carrier frequency of the receiver signal and a clock phase loop (36,50,58,25,28) for detecting its clock phase. |
