INDUCTION HEATER

An induction heater has an electrical conductor between a heating coil and a top plate. The electrical conductor has an extended part downward extended from the periphery. The extended part has a connection portion connected to a low potential portion at its end and thermal connection reducing means. The shape of the cross section near a bent section is uniform. With the above constitution, the electrical conductor has a buoyancy reducing function and an electrostatic shield function, the number of parts is small, electric shock of a human body is prevented, and float of a heated object is prevented. Since the thermal connection reducing means reduces the heat conduction to the connecting portion, a highly-reliable, compact induction heater can be designed.
