<p>A method of treating manure slurry, a fibrous product produced from manure slurry, uses of such a fibrous product, and a method of utilising mineral constituents and phosphorus and nitrogen compounds enclosed in the solid, fibrous fraction of manure slurry. A method of treating a material consisting of manure slurry comprising a fibrous phase and an aqueous phase, said method comprising the steps of a) separating the manure slurry into a fraction containing an enriched amount of fibres and a water fraction consisting essentially of water, b) drying said fibre fraction to a content of solid dry matter of at least 75%, and c) compressing the dried fibre fraction to form pellets having a density between 400kg/m 3 and 800kg/m 3 provides a product which fulfils the regulatory requirements for being acceptable as commodities and which furthermore provides an advantageous source of fuel, fertilizers and feed supplement for domestic animals.</p> |
