PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fire alarm capable of preventing false alarms and fatal fires. SOLUTION: An alarm signal indicating the occurrence of a fire is generated based upon comparison between a fire sensor signal outputted from a predetermined fire sensor 2 and a fire threshold for determining fires. A fire is reported in response to the alarm signal. In particular, the fire threshold is controlled so that the sensitivity for generating the alarm signal is higher when a human sensing means 3 does not sense the presence of a person moving than when it senses the presence of a person moving.
