PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem with a conventional head rest support having a structure of elastically supporting a stay by a protrusion provided on the inner circumference of a stay pressing section and allowing vertical movent and/or insertion/removal of the stay with a moderate load that the conventional head rest support cannot be adapted satisfactorily to a structure of a recently demanded headrest having an increase sized and an increase rising height, some improvements have to be made for treating variation in tolerance of parts and variation in tolerance for temperature change for the purpose of assembling and using the stay and the head rest support without any gap in a fitting state. SOLUTION: A headrest support having a through hole into which a headrest stay is fitted for holding the headrest provided at a seat, has a stay bolt/receiving member pressing section of a bow-like cross-section having elasticity separated from a body in the middle of the body. Curved inner faces are formed in the center of the bow-like inner face, and protruding outer faces are formed on the end of the bow-like outer surface, and the upper part and the center part of the body are formed with one or a plurality of elastic pieces.
