Each playing piece (60) has at lease one indicium (65, 66) thereon so that rotation of a playing piece (60) to a selected orientation presents said indicium (65, 66) to a player. The apparatus (1) has retaining means (36) for retaining each playing piece (60) in a selected orientation.
