PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent temperature fluctuation of brine taken out from an evaporator to be supplied to a heat load even during transition from double effect operation or single/double effect operation to single effect operation in a single/double effect absorption refrigerating machine. SOLUTION: A refrigerant pipe 31 extended from a high temperature regenerator 5 of the single/double effect absorption refrigerating machine to a low temperature regenerator 6, and a condenser 10 of a low heat source regenerator condenser drum 11 are connected by a pressure equalizer 41 with an interposed opening and closing valve V5.
