PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high frequency signal amplifying apparatus which does not output a distorted signal and can obtain linear characteristics based on a feedforward control. SOLUTION: The high frequency signal amplifying apparatus has a directional coupler to which a high frequency signal is input, a delayer to which the output of the directional coupler is supplied, a variable attenuator to which the output of the delayer is supplied, a phase shifter to which the output of the variable attenuator is supplied, an amplifier to which the output of the phase shifter is supplied, an envelope detector to which the output of the directional coupler is supplied, an amplitude correction signal generator for controlling the attenuation amount of the attenuator in response to the output of the envelope detector, and a phase-shift correction signal generator for controlling the phase-shift amount of the phase shifter in response to the output of the envelope detector.
