PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent drawing of a trigger lever unless a rivet body flange is not pushed to a member to be fastened, in a fastening device having an almost linear-shape from a nose to a piston-cylinder device at the rear part of a housing in the whole body. SOLUTION: A handle 17 is formed into a cylindrical body surrounding the outer periphery of the housing 13 and arranged so that the outer periphery of the housing can be moved in a longitudinal direction. Further, the handle 17 is energized with a spring 37 so as to be positioned at the rear side of the nozzle. The trigger lever 23 is locked with the projection 38 of the handle energized with the spring. Then, when the sleeve of the blind rivet at the tip part of the nose is pushed by inserting it into the fitting hole of the member to be fastened by gripping the handle, the lock of the trigger lever is released by moving the handle to the tip end side of the nose.
