PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a track search control method which smoothes transformation to a cost mode and transformation to a deceleration mode, relating to the track search controller using an acceleration locus in multiple sinusoidal wave mode, to provide a recording medium suitable for this method, and to provide a hard disk drive on which this method is applied. SOLUTION: The track search control method of the hard disk drive 10 is characterized by comprising; a step S602 for calculating a time for an acceleration section from the maximum search distance which can be reached without the cost mode; a step S604 for calculating a positional locus for a track search control including the cost section based on the time for the acceleration section; a step S606 for calculating an acceleration locus and a speed locus based on the positional locus; and a step S608 for performing the track search control with the cost mode using the calculated acceleration locus, speed locus, and positional locus.
