PHOTOCATALYST AND ITS MANUFACTURING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture a photocatalyst by modifying nitrogen doped titanium oxide with a platinum compound or carrying the platinum compound on the nitrogen doped titanium oxide at a relatively low temperature without using a large-scaled expensive apparatus such as a sputtering apparatus or the like and a complicated process such as hydrogen reduction, ultraviolet irradiation or the like.

SOLUTION: The manufacturing method of the photocatalyst includes a process for immersing a nitrogen doped titanium oxide powder in a platinum compound-containing solution to obtain a precursor and a process for reacting the precursor with a compound having a reducing action in a solution of ammonia or an amine.
