PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the number of parts by making an indicator part indicating the opening of a rotary actuator bear thrust force generated at a time of output. SOLUTION: The rotary actuator having an output shaft connected to a piston reciprocating in a cylinder, driving and rotating the output shaft by converting reciprocating motion of the piston to rotary motion, and driving a valve rod of the rotary valve connected to the output shaft, consists of a center ring part inserted on the output shaft under coming off prevention condition and bearing thrust force, an attachment part horizontally extending in a radial direction from the center ring part and bending downward at a tip part, and attached with gripping a cylinder main body in a width direction, an indicator plate including an indicator part bent upward from a position of the attachment part, and an opening indication part rotating together with the output shaft.
