The vehicle is equipped with a direct injection SI-engine of lean runability and at least one electric drive facilitating the switching from the combustion engine to the electric drive in order to save petrol whenever feasible. The electric drive is specifically controlled for slightly delaying the deactivation of the combustion engine resulting in an s-shaped function (14) representing the relation between the rotational speed, the time and the crankshaft angle.
