The axial flow fluid filter (10) has flat filter layers (14) and pleated filter layers (15) which are supported alternately around a support (16) to form open and closed channels (17,18). A spacer strip (19) is fixed in one end face of the filter to space apart the end face of filter from the supporting surface. A peripheral gasket (13) seals the area between the unfiltered and outlet sides (11,12) of the filter. |
