PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for correcting ununiformity in an image picked up from an object to be examined by an imaging apparatus and to improve correction of ununiformity in the image. SOLUTION: In the method for correcting the ununiformity in the image photographed from the object to be examined by the imaging apparatus, an image to be corrected is picked up, a correction image is computed from the image to be corrected, the picked up image is corrected using the correction image in order to create an image which is normalized by multiplication of the image to be corrected and the correction image, when the correction image is computed, a pixel having lower signal strength than the limiting value in the neighborhood of the picked up object to be examined is identified, and signal strength, which is respectively dependent on the signal strength of each neighboring pixel, is assigned to these pixels.
