<p>Elastomeric polyolefinic thermoplastic composition (A), (for the formation of a part of the insert type cap for placing a safety air cushion in a motor vehicle), comprises an olefinic polymer (I) comprising propylene, a copolymer (II) containing alpha -olefin ethylene (IIa), a cross linking agent (III) and a free radical generating agent (IV), where (A) further comprises a thermoplastic elastomer and optionally a high density polyethylene. Elastomeric polyolefinic thermoplastic composition (A) (partially cross linked), (for the formation of a part of the insert type cap for placing a safety air cushion in a motor vehicle), comprises an olefinic polymer (I) comprising propylene, a copolymer (II) containing alpha -olefin ethylene (IIa), a cross linking agent (III) and a free radical generating agent (IV), where (I) is a copolymers of propylene/ethylene or propylene/alpha olefin or a compound having a shock resistance of at least 30 kJ/m 2> (measured according to the standard of ISO 180 and lzod notched at 23[deg]C), (II) has density of 0.870 g/cm 3> (measured according to the standard of ISO 1183), and (A) further comprises a thermoplastic elastomer and optionally a high density polyethylene. An independent claim is also included for a molded cap produced from (A) for housing a safety air cushion (which will be opened by controlled tear to spread the cushion at the time of the firing of the pyrotechnical system without fragmenting at the time of bursting at low temperature) of a motor vehicle.</p> |
