PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem wherein a conventional electric charge detection circuit sometimes causes spike noise in its output signal. SOLUTION: The electric charge detection device is connected to an electric charge signal input terminal and includes: an electric charge detection circuit for converting signal electric charges into a voltage; a dummy circuit for outputting a first voltage level in the case of a reset operation of the electric charge detection circuit and outputting a second voltage level in a non-reset state of the electric charge detection circuit; and an inversion circuit that receives the output voltage from the electric charge detection circuit, outputs a signal voltage on the basis of a first input output characteristic for a period when the dummy circuit outputs the first voltage level, and outputs a signal voltage on the basis of a second input output characteristic for a period when the dummy circuit outputs the second voltage level. Reset feed-through noise is reduced thereby, The spike noise caused by a phase shift between an output of a first stage source follower and a reset feed-through noise cancel signal is also decreased.
